The typical audience member of our film has slightly changed since what we had previously planned to do at the beginning of this piece.
At the beginning of our piece, we had originally planned to have people over the age of 15 to be the audience members that our film would be targeted at. They would have had an interest in the super normal and also maybe dabble into the liking of horror movies or ones where there is a continuous showing of blood. This was all devised because we took ideas from Shaun of the Dead, which has an age rating of fifteen and so we followed the conventions provided by BBFC so if it were to be produced in the real media world, it would be up to acceptable standards.
Since we have created the film, we have altered the target audience due to certain aspects that have built up during its creation. Due to a lack of blood and guts within the film, we thing that it probably could be lowered to a age rating such as a 12 or 12A. This would limit the blood we could use in later filming but based on the opening we have done, it would be more applicable to keep to the same tempo and vibe. Also we don't really show and violence or action that would be depicted as horrific so again the age rating may be altered from what we had original planned to film/
Through doing the filming, we have found out that being able to stick to where we had planned to film or using the age rating to our advantage has been difficult. Having chosen to do an 15 age certificate, we have not really taken to the advantage the amount of swearing and violence we could have used. However, I personally believe that we have a sufficient 2 minute film which uses the aspects we have Incorporated to promote the film to a wide audience.
